2012′s Winner: The Family of Sarah Roberts Hart

On December 12th in downtown Lexington, where it was cold outside but warm with well over 100 beautiful people inside, the entire family of Sarah Roberts Hart (Russell Springs, KY) was awarded 2012′s Most Encouraging Kentuckian Award, gathering nearly 2000 of the 3000 total votes cast.

Thank yous belong to WKYT’s Sam Dick for keynoting and sharing from his own h(e)art, to Jessie Rose Pennington for playing her beautiful keyboard like the budding Nashville star she is, to Well Fed Meals for catering, to Able Engine for hosting our night, to our Awards Panel for their unending support, to Lexington artist Joann Strunk for designing and handcrafting this year’s genuine Kentucky limestone award, all nine of 2012′s Finalists and most of all, to everyone who came and helped us “encourage encouragement” throughout our state.

May the spirit of encouragement spread through all of us in 2013, more than ever before.
