What We’ve Done

The principle behind what is now Li.V.E. was a realization back in 2008, 2009 and 2010 that entrepreneurship and risk-taking in America, and particular in Kentucky back then, were not strongly supported.

Yet entrepreneurship and risk-taking are the backbone of what America is historically all about.

We officially incorporated in 2010 and since then we have helped bring in over $6.3M of new, non-local money into Central Kentucky’s ecosystem (where we started) of small businesses, entrepreneurs, innovators, artists and fellow non-profits.

Our foundational belief is that believing in each other, investing in each other and connecting with each other are the keys to the strongest communities possible.

By the Numbers

By hosting Lexington's RunTheBluegrass Half Marathon each spring, at historic Keeneland Race Course, we are able to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars from outside guests (over half of our runners travel in from outside of Kentucky) to reinvest back into Bluegrass area entrepreneurs, businesses, artists and fellow non-profits.

The total, direct economic impact of RunTheBluegrass has been over 6.3 million dollars so far.
