Meet our Board of Directors
Tom Little, Chair
A retired Lexmark executive, Tom now serves on our board along with several others. He runs (although pretends not to like it) and does like sleeping in, doing some volunteer work, doing projects around the house, traveling, playing with grandchildren, looking for next vacation trip, and generally enjoys his retirement!
An Army brat as a kid, Jonathan grew up all over the world, moving every 2-3 years like clockwork until he moved to Lexington in 1988. He quickly fell in love with Lexington and it is the hometown he always wished for growing up. He is a graduate of George Washington University in DC, and Roosevelt University in Honolulu, HI.
He is a Business Analyst at Xerox and has worked in the software industry for 30 years. For 6 years, he organized the company's Golden Can Food Drive effort for God's Pantry, each year surpassing the donations raised from the year before, and mopping the floor with the competition. Using different themes each year to motivate the employees, it was a team-building exercise as well as a great result for the community.
Jonathan is a cyclist and runner and is training for his first full marathon this September while he has already completed 13 half marathons.
Graduate of Smith College and UK's Patterson School. She has worked in the software industry for 27 years, 20 of those spent providing exceptional support for a Court Case Management System with county, state, and international clients.
Midge is also a runner, taking up the sport 5 years ago, and has since completed 13 half marathons (with no ambitions to run anything longer, 13.1 miles is long enough)! Midge sees running as a great way to interact with wonderful people and loves that sense of accomplishment that comes from setting a goal and meeting that challenge!
A self-employed consultant from Berea, Kentucky, Landra is one of the most diverse and interesting people you'll ever meet! She loves "porching" with coffee or wine, writing, creating, traveling, and generally making the world a better place!
John joins the Board with 36 years of International Business Experience. John is the owner of a Promotion Company which manages vacation property. He spent 14 years with IBM as owner of the Purchase Billing System, US Audit Manager, and Manager of Business Controls. 23 years with Lexmark International as Manager of Divisional Sales & Operations, National Account Manager, Global Alliance Manager and Global Manager Pricing & Business Development.

John Knox Brown
John is an engineer with Lexmark, where he has worked in numerous capacities and has enjoyed a varied and interesting career for over 34 years. He is a third generation graduate of UK (BA-CS ’81, MS-EE ’87), and a lifelong Cat fan. John is married with 2 children (now adults with their own families) and enjoys his visits with them. John volunteers as a mentor (1-1 reading), and in his church and he also enjoys framing houses, disaster relief, singing, running, golf, cooking, reading and travel. John has raced in 10Ks(3), 10 milers(3), half marathons(11), and his longest distance to date ¾ marathon(2). He is anticipating his first marathon in May 2016.
The Hillbilly Hacker recently saw his bearded CEO look co-opted for reality television. But he's not mad, he focuses his energy into cloud infrastructure and community building.
Todd is a NASA Honor Award recipient, open source contributor, hackerspace founder and legend in his own mind! Todd also has a wonderful son and perfect wife!
Matthew Boyd is originally from Hodgenville, KY and is an Attorney at Boyd Law Office, PSC in Lexington. He is a Board member of the Fayette County Bar Association. He serves as an Administrative Law Judge for the LFUCG Division of Code Enforcement. He also serves on the Bluegrass Area Development District's Tourism, Historic Preservation and Recreation Committee.
Matthew graduated from Hanover College and the University of Kentucky College of Law and is the proud father of two children, Eli and Katie.
Rachel Crabtree, Assistant Director
Former Personal Trainer, lifelong healthy eating advocate, entrepreneur and workhorse, Rachel helps coordinate the quadrabazillion details that are involved with RunTheBluegrass and our other projects!
Eric Patrick Marr, Founder & Executive Director
Native Lexingtonian, graduate of Purdue University (BSME 1995), Race Director of RunTheBluegrass... and loudmouth on social media! ;)
